WHY YOU SHOULD DO A CAKE SMASH SESSION

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure for more information.

YES YES YES YES!!! I personally love to celebrate a baby's first year! It is a huge milestone and drum roll plleeaassee.... they are only one once!! So let's do it up right and add in a cake smash, a huge watermelon slice, or gigantic bowl of mashed potatoes - I am up for anything, and I am totally ready for a mess - bring it on!!

CAKE SMASH ADDER

All you need to do is let me know that you would like to add in the cake smash session and if you have a specific theme/color, find an outfit which can be as simple as a fun diaper cover or birthday onesie and I do the rest!! You are more than welcome to bring your own cake but I use cake decorating as my creative outlet away from screen time so I actually love getting to do it! The Cake Smash adder includes 20 additional minutes, 10 additional images and loads of memories! Add to any one year session for $50.00, due at the time of your session.

Check out my gallery of cakes I have created & recent smashes here!

CAKE INFORMATION

I love to decorate but honestly I buy the white box cakes and white frosting, links below on my most often used boxes and frosting if you need to see ingredient information, but if you have concerns about ingredients due to allergies please let me know asap (thanks!).

TIPS & TRICKS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CAKE SMASH

Sometimes a cake smash session is the first time your son or daughter will experience cake and may not like it - crazy I know! But don't stress if they don't dive in and stuff their face, as that is all part of the memory and the story you can tell them someday. For those who end up loving the cake, it is highly recommended to have to following on hand for when we are all done making the memories (aka the mess).

  • Something for them to drink to wash the cake down

  • Extra comfortable clothes for after

  • Extra diapers & wipes
